东京审判是人类有史以来参与国家最多、规模最大、开庭时间最长、留下档案文献最为浩瀚的审判，也是仍然影响着当下的一场审判。在这个没有硝烟的战场上，中国代表团是如何克服万难取得胜利？作为国家元首的日本天皇为何没有坐上审判席？为什么日本国内仍然有一部分人试图否定东京审判？时隔70年，这场审判似乎仍然没有画上句点。上海外语频道制作的三集系列纪录片《东京审判》，远赴美国与日本，将以独家采集的罕见影像资料重现这一段风云际会的历史；而中、日、美、德各国专家学者，也将拨云见日，解读这场审判留下的点点疑惑和历史因果。很多日本学者因担心被误解，之前从未接受过中国媒体的采访，而此次也破例出现在了镜头前，向人们表明真相究竟是什么。值得一提的是，日本前首相鸠山由纪夫也接受了节目的专访，他在采访中提到了对于东京审判的态度，对于安倍政府的看法，以及对战后七十年中日关系的展望。
